TC for Nikkor 55-200

Is there a teleconverter that will operate with the Nikkor 55-200? I have a 18-200 but have an occasional need for a little longer reach and a TC on my idle 55-200 would be helpful.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Actually, I don't suggest you put a TC on either of those lenses. They are not fast enough IMPO.

But if you need more reach... depending on what you're needing the reach for and how much you're willing to spend... I would suggest you look into an AF 300/4 or AFD 300/2.8. The 300/4 should set you back $400+ and the 300/2.8 maybe $1000. (I've not priced the 300/2.8, so that is just a guess)

So, what are your reasons for needing more reach?

Actually I agree...my need for extra reach is not that much of a priority. I think maybe I'll wait and pcik up a 400 when I can afford one.

OK... Well, just giving my thoughts on your question about the TC. I don't think you'd be happy with it on either of the other lenses...
