Last month (you see how much time I haven't had with my photography) I took my family down to San Juan Capistrano. This is one of my favorite spots in Southern California.

Around the station there are several neat cafe's where you can stop and get a glass of wine or a coffee and enjoy the scenery and all-around excellent climate:

If you're ever in the Orange County area I highly recommend spending an afternoon in San Juan Capistrano.

Used to live close by and hung out at the bars....Err....Coffe shop on Friday/Sat Pm's.

Fun memories and the ride from SD on Amtrak (if they don't hit someone enroute :wow) not bad either.
Your shots remind me to go back with camera in hand

Yeah..I've taken the train down to San Diego from San Juan Capistrano. My son loves trains and airplanes so we sometimes hop on the train and I take him to the toy train museum and the aerospace museum in Balboa. It's fun and you can't beat the views!!
