Andy,
Thanks for not making fun of me and yes I'm an easy target :wink I wasn't making fun of you, it was Harry and Fish (who'da thunk it, huh?...lol) I think that it's their way of showing affection :lol Better than a hug, doncha think?...lol

Nice, nice , nice shot. I was wondering what you were doing up on that bluff for so long. Now I know. The worn dirt path, rambling up towards the top of the frame, is a very nice touch :thumb

Good work, as usual, and I'll see ya tomorrow. I hope we have great light like today :clap :clap

Andy,

This is a great shot!

I do agree that there seems to be a little PF along the path.

But I know its unedited.

Overall...:thumb :thumb two thumbs up! (We need a smiley with both thumbs up)

thanks gus - that's not purple fringing, or any fringing... that's the sky in the distance.

appreciate the comments :thumb

I think this is a very classic lanscape Andy, and well done at that. One thing I particularly like is sharp focus going from the front to back. Pleasing lines and colours, and well framed. :thumb

I like it as is, but if you shot RAW, see if you can recover more details from the sky. Great composition btw.

And I live on the coast! I see you got a lone California Poppy too!

Better light today, and a strange but pretty sunset. I have to downsize and I'll post it later. I actually have some "real" work to do, though it won't take me long. But I have to do that before becoming a couch potato for the evening.

Hmm...I think the ol Challenge Master is getting busted big time. Dust, purple fringing, unrealistic colors, low sky detail, and the lone flower of a plant that almost never blooms alone. Maybe it's just a piece of litter, as California Golden Poppies are not yellow. They're orange like this:

i don't actually know what it is, but here's a 100% crop. looks more like a dead leaf i'd say.

thanks aj - it was a fun afternooon. always appreciate your feedback, thanks for stopping by!

thanks obelix - i shoot raw only and so this it for the details, i tried a second exposure from the raw file, it made the sky too dark imo so i decided to leave it be. thank you for the feedback, i appreciate it very much.

hey john, thanks - y'know, it wasn't too hard to get the birds in the frame, geez there were a kabillion of them :lol3
