HELP!! Adding menu bar w/ links to banner

I think I bit off more than I can chew here, but what I am attempting to do is imbed the navigation links for my site into my banner. I've been following the instructions in the following thread http://digitalgrin.com/showthread.php?t=54129 to no avail! I have added the CSS information for the banner and the relative size and location of my buttons, but I cannot get this to work for my site. I've intentionally left my regular navbar in place until I can get this working.

Would one of the coding GURU's here assit me in getting this ironed out and working?

Nevermind... I've decided to roll with the standard nav bar, and space it closer to the banner.
