A customer just emailed me a list of images by what he is calling an "Image ID number". Such as: 14311704. I beleive he is giving me the last part of the URL, such as http://mercphoto.smugmug.com/gallery/359147/1/14309346.

How do I quickly search my galleries for photos based on this information? I only have six images to find, and they are only in one of 5 galleries, so my chore isn't daunting. But would like to know if there is an easy way, if for no other reason than future reference.

Thanks!

If it helps any, these are the Image ID's the guy sent me:

14311704
14309469
14264200
14266403
14263744
14265898

I've tried "searching" in my site by putting those numbers at the end of URL's for other images, but I've found Smugmug to be erratic about whether this actually works or not.

Should I email the guy back for caption data instead? (the caption has my filename in it)

How do I quickly search my galleries for photos based on this information? I think there is actually no way to search for them, but you can directly access the image through a link:

http://mercphoto.smugmug.com/photos/14309346-M.jpg
^^^^^^
replace this part with the Image ID

The "M" stands for medium size, but you can also use every other size:
S=small
L=large
The imagesize has to be a capital S,M or L.

EDIT: I just figured out that it doesn't work for your ID. It only works if you've got external linking activated in the gallery where the picture is located.
Hope this helps. :)

Thanks! The only problem now is, I can't get back to the original image itself, so I can't see the caption, thus I can't get my image name. I think I can get around this issue though.
