I picked up a copuple of new lenses today
EF 50mm f/1.8 Prime and a EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
I am still in search of the ultra sharp focus that my EF L 70-200 f/2.8 cannot seem to give.
I will prolly shoot some pics later on.
I am starting to wonder if the focus issue is my camera (Rebel XT) and the lens is just fine.
Anybody elese have this issue?

The Canon EF 70-200mm, f2.8L is one of Canon's best zoom lenses. I would like to see original files produced by this lens, to see if you may have a problem.
Do you have a gallery of test images somewhere?
Confratulations on the other new lenses. The EF 50mm f/1.8 is also capable of greatness. :thumb

I also would be interested to see some original images, though I'm nowhere near the expert on these matters that Ziggy has repeatedly demonstrated himself to be.
My 70-200 f/2.8 has done me nothing but great since I got it (unless I do something really stupid like 200mm at 1/15 - which I have tried :D) but it's been a stellar performer.

Same here. I am in the midst of going through my new 70-200/2.8's first outing (on the order of 10,000 shots), and I am amazed at how sharp the images are right out of the camera. It's making me wonder about my beloved 24-70 as those shots don't seem quite as sharp...

All pics except the 2006 ones are with the 70-200. Alot of the problem I am having is with the person behind the camera ;)
The night football is where I have the most problem.
Anyhoo, I absolutly love these two lenses. Very sharp, very fast. For les than $100, you cannot beat the 50mm 1.8.
