Got this at the canadian museum of civilization. It's a carved stone (soapstone?)statue of a fisherman, and is behind glass. I used a crazy angle for the ceiling bounced flash. Would you crop it differently? I left the dark background to contrast the right side. D70 kits lens, A priority, ISO 1600, 1/100sec, 55mm, F4.5. PSCS PP'd, cleaned up with Neat Image.

Neat shot. Without knowing what, if anything, is off the right side of the picture, I can't say I'd crop it any differently.

I would crop it very tightly leaving just just the expression on the face, but it's just me

I think it's a beautiful shot and cropped just fine as it is! The dark space on the left adds to the composition and makes it a little mysterious and interesting.

Thanks everyone for your comments! :) I forgot to mention that I left my ISO at 1600, a most fortunate accident. :dunno

Excellent. :thumb :thumb

The offset darkness enhances the mood.
