I played hooky from work last Thursday and drove out to Point Reyes National Seashore. I decided to head up to Pierce Point and McClure's Beach because I hadn't been there before.
On the way up the peninsula, I stopped for a vista:

Pierce Point Ranch is now an exhibit maintained by the park service. Most of the buildings were locked, but the barn was open.

The trail to the beach follows a creek as it cuts through the cliff side down to the ocean. Here's a couple shots from my walk down.

The creek, which has made a huge cut in the cliff side is just a dribble (at least in May) as it crosses the beach to the ocean

Here's a few of the "must take" California coast shots:

My first choice setup for sunset was a bit too close to the waves and I couldn't keep the lens dry. The wet lens gives it something of a dreamy look:

I made a hasty retreat and took this shot from a little ways up the beach:

Here's the creek on the way back to the car:

And finally, a shot from the parking lot:

There are couple more shots in the gallery (http://gallery.liquidairphoto.com/gallery/2869431/2/154874668#P-1-15).
