Took a family trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach last weekend.

Everyone had a whale of a good time.
Most of the Jelly displays were closed, but these were still nice

The sea dragons were especially beautiful

Leafy Sea Dragon
It's fairly small, but a rewarding visit nontheless.

Hope you enjoyed this little trip.

Nice series Chris. That aquarium looks like they have the same animals as our local Mote Marine, in Sarasota. Like the sea dragons. Those would be cool to have in one's tank.

Thanks... I was working with a 50mm lens on 1.6 crop camera, so getting the full jelly wasn't really possible.
It's definitely worth a visit, though a tad expensive compared to other aquariums I've been to.

Thanks, Bird Man! They had a lot of local critters in tide pools, but I was too busy tracking down my 2-year-old to get any good piccies. The dragons move nice and slow, too!

Those sea dragon pics are wonderful. How colorful they are! Plus I am assuming you didn't jump in the tank :rofl so these pics were done through glass...even more impressive!
