I was at the Nikon Small World exhibition (competition for micro imaging), it's here on our campus for the month, with my best friend, shoots Nikon. I asked him which macro lens he'd recommend as we've both been interested in it for a while. I went through the range of Canon lenses including the microscope 65mm lens. He, a staunch Nikonist, admitted that Canon's lens lineup for macro blows Nikon out of the water. He's settled on a Sigma, great lens, but he'd rather have a Nikkor.
Jast sayin, if you like shootin those bugs, it's another thing to consider.

When I shot those Lizards the other day the guy at the zoo loaned me his 60mm Nikkor Micro lense.... wow, that thing was fast focusing and incredibly sharp. 1:1 ratio and all. I gotta get one.
