Great series here. You always get the best reflections. I need to stop looking at your posts because it could get expensive. That 300mm is amazing. Between you & Harry, I'm doomed.

I just sold 3 lenses...maybe adding one more wouldn't hurt :D

obelix, you've got some great shots there. i'm not sure i can resist the temptation of a very long lens for much longer. but i just bought an ultrawide and i'm gonna shoot the heck out of it before i think about getting another.

anyhoo...i don't know why, but i really really like this shot.

maybe i'm just really into wacky angles right now...

Dave Hey, curious, what all lenses did you sell?

Thanks fish. Curious, what ultrawide lens did you get? I am about to buckle, trying to decide between the tokina 12-24 and the upcoming tamron 11-18.

Diagonals, some people hate them, some like them, they create a tension that is unique to the viewer :). Glad you liked it.

It is good, but I am not so sure about the popeye design. I would definitely need to use filters with a lens that wide and the Sigma lens design does not help.

I know about a dozen folks who own the lens and every one loves it. I am waiting to see what the Tamron does though.

About time, eh? Curious why you sold the 60mm. Planning for a longer macro? Look at Tamron 90.

I got the Canon 10-22 EF-S. Yeah, I love diagonals and sharp angles, as you can tell from my Plaza de Cesar Chavez (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=6127) thread. fishwife calls them "batman shots" :rofl

lol, I commented on the thread earlier :), nice shots, I used to work just opposite to the Adobe building before.

The 10-22 seems to be a very interesting lens. [Canon always seems to price their lenses just right, okay, may be a $150 more, but still, much better than Nikon :(].

Long lens makes for candid candids. No?

Cool series you have here. I especially like Tokyo.

Which 300 are you working with?
