#2 shows promise...

Unfortunately, the bright background limits the forming perceptions of the face in shadow, a delicate feature. Was the raw shot showing highlights?

Would some burning be more appropriate?

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the RAW file is also pretty bright where the sun was, so there's not a lot I can do - except shoot it again of course :-)

Can you try brightening the background on #1? :scratch That would give a silhouette effect.

Or, try darkening the foreground of #2.

The other two don't really hit the mark for me.

I think #1 is the only that qualifies for the theme

Both are gorgeous shots. I think I'd probably go for #1 myself, 'cause I just love the colors in it. Especially the glow that highlights her chin.
