Basically a "poor man's" Nikon 500... but will really decent optics. I missed a chance at one on KEH.. I'm still kicking myself for that! You see the non HSM version every so often.. but I'm looking for HSM.
anyway.. still hopeful!

This Sigma cost about $4200 and it's F4.5 not F4.0 !

Maybe look for a 500P Nikkor, they are available at about 1/2 of the SigMonster price.

Nah - I want the autofocus.. worth the extra money.
Used these lenses tend to be found for $2500-$2800.. if you can find one. Sure, it aint cheap but then again - it is Pro level glass and really a huge step above the Tamron 200-500 I have now...
Anyway.. I continue my search.
