I found two more shots today. I continue to desire criticism and suggestions for improvement.
A white throated sparrow

Very nice PF. I wish I could do as well with those small birds. The first appears to be sharper than the second. I'm guessing that the second one was more heavily cropped.

I think the first one is very nice. Sharp with good lighting. A lower angle might add something. Kinda like shooting kids a eye level. Probably would require lying prone on the ground tho.

like the others really like #1 and I know most of the time you do not pick the angle you just get the shot before you have dust to shot .They are fast to fly away ,did you tell us what you are using for lens ? :scratch both are nice .Jeff

Thank you Harry. The first image - the white throated sparrow was shot at ISO 400 from my second story window. I would have preferred to capture it from ground level also, but I don't always find the subjects that patient with me. There are here and then they are gone!!
And this one seemed nice and crisp if a little higher point of view than I would prefer so I went with it. And I have not seen this species depicted here previously.. I'm learning them as I get'em.

Harry, you shoot from your car as a blind, and I have been shooting from my house as a blind :D :D

The second image,the house sparrow was shot at ISO 1000. I went back and looked at my RAW files and both bird images were almost exactly 1/4 of a horizontal frame length, so there was not really much difference in cropping. I think the difference was in ISO. I did not use any noise reduction software. Pretty remarkable for ISO 1000, isn't it? You listening here, Humongous?? :clap :clap

These were shot with a 500mm + a 1.4 Telextender. I gave up trying to catch these little guys with shorter glass. It just frustrated me. And waxy complained they weren't sharp before. So I got sharper hopefully. No new motorcycle again this year I am afraid. :dunno
