Hi,
I am based in the UK and would like my customers to be able to pay in GBP or at least see the conversion so they know what the cost will be. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks
Kara

Hi Kara, welcome to SmugMug. No, I'm sorry, there is no local currency option with our shopping cart.
I wish I had a better answer for you!

Do you think there will ever be one?
Has no one come up with a clever bit of coding?

Hi Kara
I'm also in the UK and had fretted at some length about the USD v locl currency issue.
Just this week got my first smugmug sale. It obviously wasn't an issue for the buyer although he has since emailed to say he was suprised to see the pics coming from the US, and what good value the deal is because of the current exchange rate. I suspect its maybe less important than we think:dunno Just my 2 cents or is it pence ?

Here is another link to a thread of the same kind........
CURRENCY EXCHANGE (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=38154&highlight=currency).......
It might help speed up The powers to be at Smug if all of you people living out side of the US were to keep posting your desire for muliple currency or an instant exchange availabilty as a suggestion (in the SMUGGY PRO SALES SUPPOST FEATURE REQUEST threads) or if you were to get a petition drawn up and have all non american smuggers to sign it...even if it were internet petiton.....
Of course you always have the option of using a paypal shopping cart and getting your photos processed elsewhere (like a Pro Lab near you ) and doing the shipping yourself also....I know I know that doesn't sound like fun and it is tons of extra work we shouldn't have to do......
