Around the World - photo selection

I have read that the around the world feature on the home page will display push pins for the latest 150 photos. So I hand picked some photos and uploaded these into a new gallery. Sure enough, they are shown on the around the world feature.

When I click on the map, it opens in a new page and zooms to the location clicked - however the set of photos are completely different from those shown on the home page map.

Can someone please explain how these photos are chosen?

Its a great feature and would like to make the most of it :)

Hi Andy!

Thats exactly what I'm trying to understand, if you look at the map on the my home page, it shows push pins for europe, middle east, asia and australia, these correlate to photos in http://wareyes.smugmug.com/gallery/2747951

Once you click on the map however, it only shows push pins for Dubai and Italy.

How are these photos/push pins decided?
