well it was not a total waste I did get a good bee butt shot -- was I going hummer or the bee :scratch that is the question :deal

ok a real shot used the flash and you see Harry is right you get color that you never see --without the flash - just a lizard :dunno

What a capture with that bee and hummer. Nice exposure on that Great Tailed Grackle.

Nice detail on the grackle. Those glossy feathers can be a chore to expose. :thumb

Did you realize the bee was in the first shot when you took it?:scratch I worked on chasing the bee into my shot :huh yea right :D I never saw the bee until I looked at the shot before I was going to make it go by by --the second shot I did see the bee and tried but messed up bird and bee :rofl :rofl I love getting captures that are different :barb thanks for stoping by and commenting :thumb

Jeff I am an old man some times I forget to take the camera :scratch last year is when nikon fixed the d70 finally [I hope ] Hunter shots it now :thumb thanks Jeff see you at bolsa :thumb :thumb

Good try on the first two and excellent results with the last two. :clapwell said Harry and oh so true :rofl close but no cigar :D but I need too learn the flash so I gave t a try on that old lizard and that prove youu right again but for me not on teh birdies just yet :huh thanks Harry a honest comment --hope all is well with you

Great series, Jeff. The hummer with the bee shots are really cool, and you did a very good job handling the exposure in the grackle shot. :thumbthank you I have been ok with my last 2 trys one a RWBB and This one of the Grackle if you wait and take the shot with a little less than bright light then be very careful with background you can get it without blowing out too many blinkies :D and showing color and depth in the shadows -thanks again for commenting

And the perch is nice as well. :thumbI just got lucky with him --2 guys to rt shooting bad duck shots and he was calling out over and over let me walk up --get closer and i banged away with about 20 shots :ivar I told him thank you for posing and went home :D
