I like the processing but I would like to see some shadow detail in the mix though.

Too much pp, it looks fake. but on the photography side, I think your photography looks great! Just work on the pp a little bit.

George, I think I'm with Lex on this one - a bit more details would be good. Perhaps overlay this image over the original and play with opacity a bit to see if there is another balance between the two.
PS: He could do modeling any time and at any level.

What a good looking kid! I like this photo. It's heavy on the effects, but I still like it. I like the pink in his lips, but I might tone it down under his eyes and on the sides of his neck. (Although my monitor isn't calibrated so maybe I'm seeing something that isn't even there). Cool shot.

I wouldn't be discouraged. The high level of post processing you have done on many of your portraits are not going to appeal to everyone.
It could however develope into a "style"
I for one, like them.

Very, very nice!! I like the PP. It looks processed, but that's fine - I enjoy it!
