Hi everyone.

I've been thinking and re-thinking (plotting?) about what I'm going to submit for this, my first, challenge. (I'm very excited). I'm spending the weekend in a cabin at Big Bear Lake and hoping that the snow, frozen lake and fireplace somehow inspire me. (Going up against HQSBUD's "emergency" submission will certainly be a challenge; have you seen it yet?)

I've noticed throughout the forums many of you refer to your "daily photo". What exactly is this? I mean, obviously I know what it means in a literal sense but I'm wondering if you all have some sort of commitment to this site, beyond the love of the craft, to share a daily shot?

Hi Angelo,

I think a daily photo is exactly what you think it is. I adopted the idea from doctorit and managed to take a more or less good photo from June 2004 till now.
Just take a look at my daily photo pages, if you want, to visualize what I'm talking about: http://rainforest1155.smugmug.com/Photography

Yeah, same here... daily photo is my own project. Has nothing to do with this site at all. Started mine over a year ago when dgrin didn't even exist and smugmug was in its infancy - the latter has made the project much easier to archive however.

check mine out if you like: http://doctorit.smugmug.com/Photography/10391

thank you both for the responses. I'll check out both your links and hopefully join in. Great way to keep the shutter finger greased. :)
