LPS #4: Ideas

Here are a few ideas, CC welcome. Let me know if I'm kinda on the right track or not...here lately my creative side has been in hiding.:rolleyes

My sis thinks they are all 'boring' so I'm thinking I'm probably back at square one.:scratch

I've seen some clever ideas from those who have already entered-great job guys!

Dolls are freaky!

The "artificial" doll just emotes so many feelings for me that I have to say it is my favorite of those three.

I quite like the composition of the carrot image, but the sign bothers me greatly.

Flower shoe lace is cute but my least favorite of them all.

I'd agree, I really like the doll shot. Thought about that myself but didn't have access to any, but I'm still looking for the manakin warehouse! Definitely on the right track. Since we all seem to be struck with the creepiness of dolls, you might consider making it a little more funky or moody somehow. On this shot I might selectively darken or blur some areas. For instance, burning in the bottom of the photo would accent the curve of the face, provide more depth to the image and might give it a darker feel. And a steel blue eye might contrast nicely with the lips and really jump out. Nice job :thumb

#1 is striking though creepy. I liked seastack's suggestions for this one.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions guys! Ok, I played around a little bit with the doll picture...this doll's eyes really are this blue-its FREAKY (and it's glass so it looks fairly real)! Did I go overboard with burning? It looks a little grainy...

No I do not think you over did it at all,
the blue eye is a perfect finisher to an already perfectly freaky image.

The second one is pretty freaky as well, but I still prefer the first one.

Well, they are all excellent photos IMO. Choosing one would be tough because they are all great contenders. The doll does give me a case of the freakouts but it's also a good enough shot to make me feel that way.

Awesome! Really like #1 with the changes and the title you chose is great. Good photos evoke an emotion and this one pegs it ((shudder))

i liked the first one as-is, the mouth really drew me in. freaky but i love your approach.

The carrot is a close second. Its immaculately shot, and unique. Lots of interest here (although could lose the logo).

The very first one...without the colored eye really draws me because it looks so real.....yea, real....the blue one looks fake. What adds to the creepyness and the artificialness (is that a word?....good one huh?) is the eye looks like a human eye....i.e. real and the rest a doll. I do like how the colored eye brings one's attention to it.....maybe if it was a little less bold in color....to make it look more......organic..human?

Just food for thought....not to completely confuse your decision :rofl
