I looked at one galley and you have the style forced to Smug_small. That
stlye when clicking the large image will bring up the medium in lightbox.
Switch the style to Smugmug and it will show the large in lightbox.

Thanks for your suggestion. That works however, I'm only interested in affecting the pop up photo on the layer. lighboxPhoto specifically. Am I restricted from setting that outside of a gallery style?
