Well all that talk about the Matanuska Glacier made me want to take a visit so heres one for you elena. ;)

I drove up to the glacier with a friend of mine and we stayed on a pullout with a great view of the glacier. We then drove back the next day and climbed at a place callled wookie wall before heading home.

We woke up and had some breakfast. I have definatly had worst views!

Ahhh!! Gorgeous mountains, beautiful blue skies, stunning glacier...what more do you need?! :D Thanks for sharing! :clap

Have you ever tried putting together a pano of the peaks and glacier?

If you put pictures 6 & 7 together (6 on the left), that was the view driving down Victory Road back towards Hwy 1, if I remember correctly. Victory Road is at mile post 95, and down that road is where Victory Bible Camp is and where I used to live when my parents taught at the boarding school that was once there. I LOVE that view!

Speaking of snow!

There was a dusting of snow on the mountains here in Santa Barbara this morning. This usually does not happen this late in the year:dunno

Great views of an awesome local:barb
