Bonjour!

Our plane's section engine wouldn't start and we ended up landing over an hour late in Vegas, so I missed the jumping warm-ups. I was in time for Dressage though. I'm uploading a couple, but this is the first time I've used the laptop for photos and I'm not sure about brightness/color. I'll check them when I get home and edit them if needed, but I hope the colors are okay and that they're bright enough for you to see. :)

First though, bad news. Andreas Helgstrand and Blue Hors Matine of Denmark withdrew from the competition. I'm sure most of you saw the video of this excellent team from WEG. Brian (O'Connor) announced that they will both be fine.

These are photos from the balcony, of warm-ups.

Too bad you missed jumping, at least you landed safely. Im sure No flash was allowed sos the exposures look OK, just a bit of blur. Im sure you got some nice images, but i find shooting down from a high level , the distortion really bothers me. :dunno

I know a lot more about horses than cameras & those fellas are in good condition ! There is no better looking animal on the planet than a horse that is in that level.

Nice shooting.

Some nice shots you have, ive not shot dressage yet, i may be able to shoot some at Chatsworth UK but i have to go and shoot a rugby match on the Sunday so may miss the worlds best (Philips, hoy, and many others)
Have you ever tried shooting dressage head on and getting as low as possible
i think#7 would look good from that possition

Beautiful horses! I always wished I could have learned dressage. The grace and discipline make me swoon.

I was looking forward to your photos of the event and I'm not disappointed ;)

That is so cool to be able to go to that level of competition. Even better to know what you are doing with your camera so you can get great images. Great pictures:clap
