just put a vignette to darken the outer edge, otherwise natural light
also increased contrast a bit...... as with the second one same vignette and also put some gaussian blur in the same location as the vignette and a bit more contrast and playing around with curves and sharpening

The softness on the first shot I find distracting, but I like the light and how it highlights the tips.

The second shot is pretty cool, the shape is great, and I really like the darker colours in the background as well :thumb .... Skippy

The first one is nice, but the second is really something. Nice job of drawing attention to the flower.

It's also a nice change of pace to see a flower that isn't some bright... umm.. flowery color. :D
