first off let me say that I am a good old "windows / pc" user, so any comments about MACS will meet with my sledgehammer... :rofl

Much that comes out of my offices in the way of graphics does so by way of CorelDRAW, which comes bundled with Photo-Paint (Corel's version of Photoshop).

Anyone have any ideas about importing RAW files? RAW is a new thing for me now that I have a D70. (My Minolta provided TIFF files).

Check it out at:

Make sure you take a look at Downloader Pro while you are there.

I have been using Corel PhotoPaint for years...you can have PS!

Another tool I find indispensable is iCorrect Edit Lab Pro:

Easy and powerful!!! I love it.:lust

So you're recommending new software to manage my RAW files?

...with BreezeBrowser you can edit, convert, and catalog raw files; among many other useful functions.

Also, you will find the author, Chris Breeeze, and his wife very helpful and responsive should you ever need help.

If Corel can't handle a Nikon RAW file, you'll need software that can convert your RAW into a format that Corel can use.

I'm not familiar with Nikon software. But based on my experience with Canon RAW, I reckon you want a software that can not only convert your RAW file, but also let you do the adjustments to exposure, white balance etc. that makes shooting in RAW worthwhile. If you can't do those adjustments, might as well shoot in .jpeg.
