Can I have the same picture in multiple galleries without having to copy said picture multiple times? So just one single pic linked to 2 or 3 galleries. This would be useful if I want picture X to be in 'my galleries' and 'Top 10 Pictures.' And galleries arranged by most viewed or grouped by location or time taken.

You can't have a photo in multiple galleries. However, you can create a very similar effect using keywords. In the example you give, I would give your top ten photos the keyword "top10", and use the keyword URL instead of a gallery URL.

If you're a Power User or Pro, then you can even use a gallery redirect (tip 70 in the Advanced FAQ (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=52811) to make your keyword "gallery" appear in categories, just like an ordinary gallery!

And galleries arranged by most viewed or grouped by location or time taken. This is definitely a candidate for gallery redirects. I use a similar trick on my site (http://pbolchover.smugmug.com) to create a New Photos (http://pbolchover.smugmug.com/newphotos) category, and a Weddings (http://pbolchover.smugmug.com/Weddings) category. All of the actual galleries are sorted by date: these additional navigational categories simply contain gallery redirects.
