awais, holocaust remembrance day (wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocaust_Remembrance_Day)) took place yesterday in israel. it occurs once a year.
schools traditionally hold an artistic memorial ceremony and its all part of an important subject taught here at all ages.

my daughter, tamar, on the left, took part in the school ceremony singing two songs.

skippy, very true. i believe this is the basis for israeli obsession for military strength - never forget and trust only yourself. i wonder how many generations it will take for us to get over it?
