Birds of the evening, egrets lined up for dinner. Comments, I am trying to figure out why I can't get KPOTD, so I am open for help.

They were just standing there. I couldn't believe my luck. I haven't been back since that evening, last week, but I am sure they are there all the time. There is not a lot of water for reflections, though.

An old man comes in and feeds them, it is the real true shrimp boat dock. No restaurants there or anything, just shacks. It is opposite where I usually go. I was trying to find birds a few nights before, and I kept seeing them over there, so I just had to go find out what was going on.

Fortunately they don't mind my hanging around. That is where the pelican is. But it is very dangerous. Just a dock, no sides to it, ropes and things all over. I am hoping no one gets hurt, I want to be able to keep coming back. There is also a black lab who comes back and forth with one of the shrimpers.

Hey Ginger,

Nice pic. I like the colors of the grass. Those look line Cattle Egrets in the shot. I would have stepped back and tried to get the front of the boat in the shot.

Nice shot Ginger. I like the way the light is hitting the birds. I agree that it would be nice to see the front of the boat. But, the birds might have been lost in the grass if you got back too much. Or maybe there was too much junk on the dock. I know there can be difficulties in a place like that.

Taming egrets by feeding them? :rofl

I like the photo the things I would suggest changing you probably can't, like less grass in front of the egrets, and having them lined up in front of the window of the shack, as if they are waiting to go inside..... but that's must my sense of humor!
