I hope someone can help me with this.

When I have an image in photoshop I can resize it to 16x24 and 20x30 with no problem.

30x40 isn't too tuff either, BUT......

When I crop it to 20x24 I have a big problem because I end up losing too much of the image at this size and I don't understand why.

I've used the crop tool, resize and some other attempts and I can't get it to work without losing too much of the image.

DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS ON HOW TO DO THIS?

Thanks,
Mike V

Thanks,
Mike VWait, why are you using photoshop to crop and resize to 16x24, 20x30, and 20x24 again? Also can you post the pic so we can see what's going on?

it looks like you're starting with a pic that has a ratio of 2:3-

for you to retain all of the photo it has to stay at this ratio, or 4x6, 8x12, 16x24, etc.-

if you don't stay with these common denominators (?), then you'll lose a portion of the photo-

if, let's say, you resize at 20x24 your ratio has become 5:6-

you can uncheck constrain proportions and keep all of your photo, but it will be distorted-

and mike has a good question: why are you resizing like that--

It will never happen when you have a rectangle and go to what is basically a square that you will not lose some of the photo.

Global warming????
