First Time.....

This is an indoors, existing light shot of my neice while she was "getting her hair fixed" for a princess party. The noise forced me to do several things to try to save the photo that I ordinarily wouldn't do in PP. My sister-in-law says it is perfect, but we all know otherwise, right? So, there it is.....have at it!!!

I find that if you shot when a child isn't looking. You get a much more natural smile.

Cons:
Underexposed
Not well composed
To much contrast between pink and almost black background
I can tell your going for that 'dreamy' look. It just looks like you got into a gausian blur fight and lost.
Skin to tone is a bit too red.
The right eye looks like some pp work wasn't completely done (the white to dark spot close to the nose)
Might want to use the dodge tool to lighten the teeth to get some emphaisi on the smile.

Open up your DOF a bit. One of the easiest things in photography is shooting a narrow DOF. Your kung fu gets really strong when you can control your DOF to make the shot you want.

Other than that..

Picture looks okay, but its wayy too soft. It would look even better if her eyes were more in focus (or sharper).
