Nice composition and subject, but I wonder if the B&W conversion couldn't be better. Were you fighting low light noise?

i just tried a little with mrs. g (:lol3) and got a pleasant result just by curving up the entire exposure, then masking the entire layer, and then using a soft edge erase at 50% on her face and arms....
try it?

Thanks Rutt, yes the noise is pretty bad iso 1600 on the 10d is not so good, as I'm sure you know

wonderful - exactly the result i got. this would look really nice in a black frame, white matte, at 5x7 .....
so, i've arranged a shoot for you in "outer boroughs" of manhattan, come late april. i'll take mrs. g on a shopping trip through manhattan :D leave your plastic eh? :thumb
