Hello All!
Here's my first submission to the whipping post! (ok so I just edited this b/c i realized i should of posted in the person folder rather than here....but i cannot figure out how to delete a post so......here's my favorite)
I had the pleasure of taking pictures of this little 5 1/2 month old...she was adorable and a perfect angel....I usually prefer b&w but her eyes were too amazing so I just left them alone.
Ok, let me have it! I look forward to hearing what you all think!
:)

You have a bad color cast going on here. Looks very blue to me. The exposure is blown out. The light is very flat, right in front of the subject, which eliminates all detail and shade from the face. I don't think the offset framing works here, especially with that extremely prominent watermark. It looks like the subject is there to set off your trademark. If that's what you're after, it works great -- it would make a good business card, for example, -- but it doesn't make a good portrait.
On the plus side, you captured a great look on the baby's face (and that ain't always easy), and the irises are fabulous.

Thank you Gary so much for your comments!
I did notice the blue after I posted, am going to fix that & try and play with the lighting/shadows - i see what you mean about losing the detail in her face.
My watermark is just there for the purpose of this site....it will not be there otherwise. I know its pretty huge. :)
Thanks again for replying!!

The pose is bothering me. It looks like she can't hold up her head. That might be true, but then maybe she should be held or shot lying down. She also looks like she isn't that engaged. I'd try to capture some sort of interesting expression. Surprise is often great for babies (and everyone for that matter.)
As for post, try the Dan Margulis portrait technique (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=22524). I did and it really helped this shot.
