Hello, I went thru various threads and understand that the only way to protect photos is to add watermarks. In addition to that I want to make the photo not downloadable. i have the following customisation..

-javascript in the footer to disable rightclick
-".galleryPage #imageInfo {display:none}" in CSS
-****** HTTP-EQUIV="imagetoolbar" CONTENT="no"> in HEAD TAG

Is there a way to disable the "save photo" link and the flying box (photo rank..save photo)?

thnx

Hi, we'll need your website to be able to help you. Are you a power or pro customer?

:wave welcome!

Great. Turn of originals, that will disable the save photo button on the PhotoBar.

Right click, watermarks, blocking larges - those are all pro features on SmugMug....

Turn photorank off in the gallery customization, if you do not want your photos thumbed and found on the most popular page.

cool. this works for public galleries. But i'm still able to right click and save the images in the private gallery. Is that how it works ?

Right click protection is a pro feature, and you said above that you are a power user. A link to the pro image protection features is in Andy's post above (http://www.dgrin.com/showpost.php?p=520011&postcount=4)

But I just verified using one of my private galleries that right click protection is enabled. It is. I am using the Smugmug feature as opposed to the JavaScript that you are using though - and I'm not familiar with the JavaScript hack. Maybe you can find someone else who is also doing their own right-click protection.
