Second Whipping

Thanks for your whipping of Blue Heron in flight last week. It was very constructive citisism and will help next time I shoot.

Here is a second shot of a Blue Heron, I was wondering if it is any better. The reeds are still in the background , but might be less distracting.

I found one of the hardest things for me to learn as I composed photos was to watch the backgrounds. Should be easy- but it took a long time- years believe it or not- before the backgrounds became second nature. Again, in my opinion, the background kills this shot. I like the water action, but the background is tooooo busy. Try to move around so you can have either plain water or sky as a background. Nobody said this bird stuff was easy.

Its good except for the heron not being in focus, the background is okay, but id prefer it if you were zoomed in closer to the heron, otherwise nice shot.
