just waiting on my confirmation code for i2e, and i figured why not have the pro's and amatures have a shot at it.

below are the pics you can choose from, i think they are the best available. they are linked in medium size, but are available in large/original in this gallery: http://wlriv.smugmug.com/gallery/2644716#P-1-15 .

feel free to work with any photo you like. these were taken by my girlfriend of her niece. cropping/adjusting/lightening, whatever tickles your fancy

at 3pm PST (roughly 3.5 hours from when this is being posted) i will make another thread with a poll and let you choose from my top 4.

i will send out a new copy of the "Happt Feet" dvd on monday to the winner you select!

on with the pictures!

Here's a different one:
Cropped tighter
Fixed underexposure
Brought out some shadow detail in hair and clothing
Restored some highlight detail in girl's shirt
Tweaked overall color balance
Tweaked the red-ness in the man's face
Sharpenedhttp://jfriend.smugmug.com/photos/139766231-M.jpg

You should be able to make similar changes in just about any photo editing program.

I tweaked it a bit more with a different blackpoint that adds a little more contrast to the darker tones. I'm not sure which one I favor:
