This is a potential stately entry. Please feel free to whip
Shot RAW.
Cropped
Some clone to remove a water tank and reflection.
Some playing around with curves to take care of highlights.

Cool building in the middle! Would love to see that one more close-up, there is so much detail. The long expoure works really well here.
Your composition looks like it is falling over to the right though.

Very nice image and great reflections. The highlights are perhaps too much - blown out a bit. I would try to get more detail out of the highlights with redoing the curves, if possible. But keep the star lighting on the top of the buildings - that's really nice! And I agree that the image is leaning to the right. After the initial delight in the brightness, I notice the bit of listing. But a wonderful night shot, none the less.

Perspective leans to the right.
Learn a quick and dirty way to blend raw exposures here. (http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1856992) Not sure if this method will work w/ a shot w/ this much dynamic range though (worth a try since it's so simple though). Looks like a good candidate for hdr.
Composition doesn't feel balanced vertically either to me.

I don't feel "stately" when I look at this shot either.

Probably get more feedback in this forum as (http://www.dgrin.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7) well.

Other than that, it's a great shot!:wink

Beautiful light and composition. It does lean a bit to the right. I'm not sure whether the highlights are too blown or not. There's no "correct" exposure for this kind of shot. If a reshoot is possible and you can do an HDR thing, it'd be worth a go. Other than that, I'd probably curve this puppy about three different ways and go with the one I liked best.

Thanks for the feedback :).
I have dimmed the highlight reflections based on feedbacks received from the Contests and Challenges forum.
Can't reshoot, so I will do an HDR blend from RAW exposures.
I plan to keep it a little brighter than normal because of the fact that added brightness adds to the "stately" effect.
I had a number of shots, including closer ones which I posted at the other forum, and most people found the pano shot to be the best!

Im not crazy for the framing of the image, I'd prefer it to either have more room around the reflections of the buildings, or to be more tightly cropped around the buildings themselves.
