Hello,

I recently was looking at memory cards and seen that in the stores a 512mb cost $199. My freind told me that he bought his at http://www.warriorelectronics.com (http://www.warriorelectronics.com/) for like $159. Then this girl I know said you can get them cheaper on ebay but they are stolen. Anybody know where the cheapest place to get memory cards is where their not stolen?
Also does anyone have a 4GB compact flash? That is so many pictures.

I've bought my memory cards from 2 places:

ecost.com (very good deals, change on a daily basis, very trustworthy)
ebay

None of the cards I ever got from ebay were stolen. Many times, they are new, but have the UPC cut off... so no rebates, which are common. Just make sure to buy from a reputable seller - high ratings.

FWIW, 512mb shouldn't cost more than about $120. My last 512 card cost me $109 shipped.

There's a good deal on Buy.com for a 1GB Viking Compact Flash. Their price is $215.99 - with a $45 mail-in rebate. I have no idea how fast this Viking is... the info is not readily available, so it might be relatively slow. But paying less than $200 for a 1-gig card is still a good deal.

The rebate expires on February 29th, or next Sunday.

Circuitcity.com has 512mb Sandisk cards for $89.99, after rebates! $40 instant rebate, and $50 mail in rebate. Very good deal. I ordered one.

I don't know about cheapest, but fast and big is the Lexar 1gb WA card. Retails for $300 everywhere and there's currently a $40 rebate when purchased through an authorized retailer ($20 on 512mb). $280 at bhphoto.com.

I agree that their x40 card is a good idea if you shoot RAW or at 8fps. Otherwise, paying around $160 (with an additional discount :D) for a 1gb card is a deal that's hard to turn down.

I've bought from them before. I think it was my Transcend 512, but not really sure. :scratch I'm getting one of these, if I get ripped off I'll let y'all know.

I have a UPS tracking number, so the shipment is on its way. Right now I'm feeling good about things.
