I asked a friend of mine who is a photographer and does a lot of restorations to help me with a bunch of photo restorations, but I told him I would try my hand at them first.
Any suggestions you guys have for these?
Please note that Picture 4 all I've done really so far is work on the faces, the mothers shirt, and the scratches, but I printed it out and it seemed better to me.
Is picture 2 too blue? I found that one tough to balance because her hair isn't red in the least.

It looks blue to me. I tried this.

First, I applied the green into the red channel at 40% to start killing the red cast.

Then I applied the Green Channel into the composite, in luminosity mode at 75%, to get some more face detail.

Then RGB curves -- hair set to black, white in shirt to white, and sampled skin on neck and hand.

Then some shadow/highlights in LAB, to put some shape into the shirt and the thing she is sitting on.
