.... everybody shoots it, so did I. Worked several versions, this one looks the way I want, but .... what do you think?

Nice. I suggest though, that you squish the little people in the shot. A nice crop should do the trick.

Good eye, Bear! :bow And good idea. Or I might try to clone them out.
Thanks,

I think behr's ides of cropping is both easier and will help w/ the composition. The fence in the bottom does nothing to add to the shot.
Might want to try and compensate the white balance for the susnet w/ your raw file. You can use the heads of the people your about to squish to achieve a noce wb.

Thanks, Jon.
I was thinking to save the base of the lamppost on the left, but maybe it's not worth the trouble? And I agree on the fence - was always a conflict with wanting the lamppost.
On one version, I adjusted the WB but like the color of the church in this one.
No like?

I like the WB. I don't like the fence, the mini-people, or the tree branch.

Hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting the redos here.
Thanks to all for the input. We agree that the little people in the shot must go and that the foreground fence is distracting. So I did a crop to remove the people and the fence, and the stray branches on the left that I felt are another distraction:

But I felt I lost an "anchor" by losing a bit of the bottom, so I tried cloning out the fence with this version:

Any input would be greatly appreciated. And please let me know if this is the wrong place to post. Also, I uploaded the redos more in alignment with the way I think we want it for SmugMug, so size is different.
Thanks again.

I like revision #2 better, but I think the branches really don't work. To me they look like they're invading the frame, not enhancing the composition. It'd be a big clone job to get them out, of course.

Don't know how I didn't see this before..
The perspective of this shot leans to the left. Look at that steeple in the middle of the shot that leans. Correct your perspective then crop. This will give you more of the lamp post that you like too.
Still not a fan of the WB. It looks like a HDR attempt. But that's just my .02

Gary & Jon,
Thanks so much for taking the time to check this out - greatly appreciated and very helpful.
Jon, perspective? I'm still trying to figure out how I missed the Lilliputians in the shot. But I did until it was pointed out here.
And now that you pointed it out, the leaning tower and perspective is gonna bug me until I get home and make the correction. :cry Thanks for that, I missed that too; mind/eye on other things. Just goes to show you, it's the details!
I still like the colors and the branch, but that's me.
Thanks again, guys. I'll post the corrected image in Before & After.
