To sue you wouldn't get any damages so it would cost you more to sue than you would receive. In my opinion, I would confirm it is your photo and then market that your photo was used in the movie. What a great way to get free advertising to everyone who saw the movie, and maybe sell a few more images?

There must be some way Sid could talk to them about it. Doesn't Sid live near Atlanta? And isn't that where The Weather Channel's HQ is located? If only Sid could somehow get some sort of compensation from The Weather Channel, from this connection.

I will be very disappointed if he doesn't report back here soon on the size of the settlement he achieves, rather than leaving us to learn about it from the front pages of the world's leading newspapers and network news bulletins.

I can handly believe this, i mean Im sure big film companies have the decency to ask for permission before they play with peoples work! Its just so unfair, they should be helping people in their careers not taking the credit for it!
:scratch:scratch:scratch
Al Gore can do whatever he want's.... that's just the way it is man, that's just the way it is....

<announcer voice> Five years ago today, Sid saw a very familiar photo as he sat down with a bag of popcorn and watched the latest movie. What happened next would take Sid through many twists and turns as he dug through the ugly underbelly of the green movement to see who would steal his piccie without his permission. He would trace the corruption all the way to the highest echelons of government, including a former U.S. Vice President. Unbeknownst to Sid, his ultimate discovery would be An Inconvenient Truth. Tune in to the History Channnel to see the exciting docudrama "Someone Stole My Piccie." Check local listings for date and time. </announcer voice>

I'll be honest and state that I have not read all of the recent pages of this photo-drama. If it was shared before then I missed it.
