Snakes are hard for people to get behind.
They are however great photo subjects(great colors, shapes, eyes etc) and you did really well here. :thumb
I never have much luck with zoos or glass :cry

Thanks Ben.
I used my Tamron 28-75. I always use a lens hood and also put my hand around that and hold it all as tight to the glass as I can. This will help with any stray reflections. Also helps you hold it steady in the low light for exhibits like this. They were all shot at ISO1600 with my 20D.

Thanks for the tip Dana, I occasionally get a clear shot because of glass but I never thought about using the lens hood, etc.
I enjoy the snakes... really like #1 / colors

Someone told me to use one of the rubber flexible hoods. They said that way you could smoosh it to the glass and seal out all the stray reflections. I don't have one of those, but that makes sense. You almost need 3 hands to do it my way. :wink
Thanks for the compliments.

I put in Rubber Lens Hood and came up with pages of them. (at B&H) Not sure which one you would get or if you would need one for each of your lenses you might use like this.

Thanks, I think we did the same search! I use my Sigma 105mm macro a lot for the indoor/glass area at my area zoo. I think I may save some money and try your method first!!

Here's a different one with this same method. These guys are hard to catch.
