Hello all,
I hope this is the correct forum; please forgive me if I've placed this in the wrong area. :)
How would one go about inserting an animated avatar?
I've seen Andy's avatar wink, etc...(or maybe I'm just seeing things! LOL)
When I look at my avatar on my photobucket account, it animates. However, here it's inanimate.
Any advice? :) Thanks much!
Edit: Hmm, nevermind. It seems it isn't animated in photobucket.com after all! :(
I do have an animated avatar... however, it's too big. Is there a way to reduce it to the forum's requirements (with a program like Photoshop)?

Sure. Just make sure it is less than 19.5kb in file size and 80x80 pixels or smaller.
I used an old copy of Jasc's (now Corel) Animation Shop for mine.

Thank you both for answering. :)
I looked at that thread and couldn't find anything about animated avatars. Could it be under a link that is titled something else?
Thanks again.
Edit: Yay! It worked. :)

In mine I think i opened in photoshop edit and took out some frames or layers. It has more on other sites, but on other sites most of the more colorful avators take a lot of time to load pages and slow up my load time. I like the load time in this forum so I live with it. :bow

This is still a non-answered question...to me at least. I checked the "sticky" again, and it comes right back here....which doesn't tell me anything about making an animated avatar...I'm soooooooooo confused. :huh

Yeah-- does the exact same thing for me. Very twilight zone-- "How do I make an animated avatar?"
"Check the sticky!"
Which leads right back to the question, "How do I make an animated avatar?"

Maybe the sticky was created by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello? :scratch
At one point, we'll all say "I don't know!"
At which point it will respond, "Third base!"
(Yes, I'm showing my age and you're all probably going, "Huh"?) :thumb
