i tag and keyword and rate etc my images in Bridge but Im not really keen on using bridge to look through my images as its folder browsing isnt great.
I want to be able to browse ALL of my images whereever they are and using my keywords, ratings etc to search.

Any suggestions?

I have seen good stuff about that and tried a demo but ut seems much more than just a browser!

I guess I need to take the plunge and persevere with it!

I'll second Photo Mechanic as well. But they are tools for very different purposes. For general browsing you could possibly be right that Photo Mechanic would be better at browsing than iVMP.

I like ACDSee Photo Manager for browsing my photos.

You are exactly right. It is a DAM. I personally prefer IMatch for my DAM app, but iView was my second choice.

However, for simple directory-based browsing I use BreezeBroswer. You can rate images & sort (and I think filter) on the ratings. Not sure how much keywording support there is--I know it does handle IPTC editing. When I get that involved, I'll rate in BB then trasnfer that to my IMatch db and do my keywording and search-on-keywords activities there.
