Lucky shot

I was trying to make a picture of the heron in flight. Only after I copied the pictures on my PC I saw that there was something sitting in the trees behind the heron.

Anyone know what kind of bird it is? (A shame it isn't a bit sharper)

It could be. It's hard to say for sure. Were these taken in Belgium? I Dont have a bird book that covers anymore than North America.

Yes, these were taken in Belgium. At about 15 minutes on foot from my house along the river 'Schelde' (Scaldis)

I was thinking of a buzzard. These are seen a lot in my region.
