I found another one today -but this one is even smaller than the one I shot yesterday. Same 100mm macro lens + 37mm of extension tubes and they don;t even fill the frame...

Those Kenko Tubes sure come in handy don't they :D
Half a fly, that spider made quite a meal of him.

Thanks Skippy! I actually bought the Canon set -probably should have gone for the Kenko since they are cheaper...

That's a crab spider. Not very nice and likes to defend it's home. They scare me a wee bit. but I love shooting spiders.

Yup, an ambush predator that doesn't build a web. They just wait for something to get close and then they grab it with those long front legs. Since you like them:

We have a lot of them here in Naples, Italy -especially this time of year. I quit shooting them unless they are feeding, so when I find one I just mentally map the location and keep checking back.
