hi all,

I really hope im posting in the correct section, sorry im new to all this and having a major blonde moment and trying to get my head around all these codes that are floating around my head lol.

Im currently helping a friend set up a webpage on smugmug, so far have managed to put a nav bar in plus some other features.

The problem that im stuck on is ive found a site that has allowed me to create a form which will direct enquires straight to email without disclosing email address etc... ive hosted the link and now have a url for the contact form, however im stuck with knowing where to place it on the smugmug webpage. Do i have to create an additional page for the 'Contact Us' button on the nav bar, and do i do this the same way as i addeded an additional page for galleries by following your instructions ... and if so where exactly does the url link code get placed within the script and is it as straight forwards as changing the wording in the code from galleries to contactus?

Also I am in the throws of adding sub catorgories which i understand fully, however again im stuck on the drop down menu code ....... obviously i replace the code with the link of her webpage etc, however do i also need to change directional links etc, and if so please could you be so kind as to adivse me.

Again i really hope i have posted this in the correct forum, and if not then i apologise in advance. Im not too sure if what ive tried and explained to you makes any sense lol as im not a techy but hopefully someone will be able to make head and tail of it and throw some light on things for me.

thank you all for your time.

bye for now :rofl

Hi and thanks for your reply .... I took a look and get the jist, however, when i make the addional pages do they stay as galleries or do i change them to the name of where they need to go? sorry i know im sounding dump here, but i can only plead another blonde moment lol.

oh and whilst im driving you mad asking how to do things, i did find a link on here for drop down nav bars ... however, whilst i know that i need to change the htt://address .... i guess i also need to change all the galleries and put in the ones that i create... Do you know please if there is a template anywhere that tells you what needs to go where and in what order please?? and do i need to create all my subcatagories before i create the drop down menu please.

Thank you for your time, im starting to realise ive bitten off more than i can chew here lol ... but hopefully ill get there eventually.

many thanks

S :)

If you look at my site the about us page is an HTML only page. It is basically a private gallery with no images in it and the text is in the description box.

erwinrecord.smugmug.com (http://erwinrecord.smugmug.com)

If you wanted to create multiple pages I would suggest creating category for HTML only pages and putting all of the galleries there.

Definitely not. SmugMug has great support 'heroes' that will help you every step of the way if you need it. Just ask them.

S :) The link Allen gave you has a link to the css (http://allen-steve.smugmug.com/gallery/2078255) for the navbar. Look for:
background: to change the tab colors
color: to change the font colors.
Colors here: http://www.december.com/html/spec/color.html
