Quick Setting question...

I have a quick setting for most of my galleries but I'd like to make one small change to it. Can I choose a quick setting, make that change and over write the old settings? If so, will that change propogate through out my site where a gallery has that setting?

Or do I need to save that quick setting as a new name, and then do a bulk gallery update?

Save as a new settings name and then you'd have to apply that setting to all of your galleries.
