I will admit I'm having issues with this first LPS challenge. In the spirit of what Shay said - basically any direction is better than no direction at all - this is what I did last night. Personally I think, "...another ice shot?" and am less than completely thrilled.

Any comments?

They're nicely composed and well lit, but I have to agree with you that they're missing something to give it that extra umph (very technical term)- maybe a little scotch or southern comfort would do the trick :dunno

I like #1 the most. You could perhaps add a 'colored' liquid to it to give it more character.

You're on to something but agree you need color. Try using colored lights from beneath or behind creating a prism effect with the ice. I'll bet with some experimenting you would come up with something that may be quite surprising...nice idea.......ooh....once you have everything where you want it (exposure, lighting, etc. pour boiling water over the ice and see where that takes it. Sorry, my brain is spinning :rofl
