I am trying to decide whether or not I want to rent or buy this lense. I am shooting an event this weekend and am looking to use this lense since I don't have any great action lenses in my bag already. So I either need to buy or rent a copy of this and have it in my hands by friday. I know what they are renting for but I think I would rather own cause I hate having to send good glass away. Anyone looking to sell one of these? Or looking to downgrade? I have a 70-300mm IS (the original version) or an older 70-210mm F4 at home (so I'm not sure if thats the exact lense but I think it is) plus cash. Or I can buy outright. Let me know what you have.

Also would the 80-200 2.8l be a decent sub for this lense? FM has a couple of these for sale but no 70-200's and me being a youngun and all I'm not real sure of the difference between the models.
