Monsterpod vs Gorillapod

I have a Canon Powershot S3 and am looking to buy a compact tripod that I can just throw into my bag...

Currently considering between one or the other... since it's a pretty light camera, I'm sure either 'pod can take the weight... However, since it's a pretty light camera, I don't want it blowing in the wind either.

Any suggestions or other options would be great! Thanks!

I've been looking at the Gorilla Pod. What does it for me is the ability to wrap it around stuff.

The elements of the gorillapod will loosen over
time and I wouldn't recommend if for anything
more than a compact camera and for the fun
of using it.
